IR lighters (IRL) of type "Bulat-1" are intended for illuminating the objects observed by night-vision device (NVD) in the conditions of low lighting and full darkness.
IRL "Bulat-1" are manufactured in two modifications: "Bulat-1M" and "Bulat-1P".
"Bulat-1M" is mounted on the night observing devices of type "Baigish" and analogous to them, which have the corresponding fitting place for IRL.
IRL can be used for lighting as a hand light while observing by NVD.
At dry dark night with heavy clouds, IRL provides with illumination at a distance over 500 m.
"Bulat-1P" is mounted on the night sights. It is a proof against impact overload (up to 320 g) when shooting by bullet cartridges not imported.
